Products and Materials
What wood are the statues and altars made from?
Current pieces mainly use solid huong wood, and some use solid go do (afzelia). The material of each item is listed on its detail page. If you would like a different wood, discuss it directly with the workshop.
What does solid wood mean?
Solid wood is natural timber carved from a real wood blank, not plywood or engineered board. Grain and color therefore vary slightly between pieces, which is part of the character of natural wood.
Are the pieces hand carved?
Yes. Every piece is carved by hand by the workshop's artisans in Thiet Ung craft village, so details may differ slightly between two pieces of the same design.
Where can I see detailed sizes?
Each product page has a size table to choose from. Before ordering, measure the intended spot and contact the workshop if you need advice on the right size for your worship space.
